Busy Bee's

11 January 2010 - an “in house” workshop everyone painting a beehive plaque together as a group.

This was a fun “communal” workshop which only took a morning to paint, we just sat round in our usual “u” shape chatting and checking with each other what and how to do each stage of this cute little project. It was fun to paint and talk through each stage and how we were going to do it, interspersed with what we all got for Christmas and how the festivities went.

Shelley has kindly offered to paint her wonderful poppy canvas with us which she taught at the BADFA convention for £40 which includes the canvas & paints on Saturday and Sunday is going to teach us how to paint her poppies in watercolour (the picture below right is larger than we shall be painting) for £35 which includes the paints and special watercolour paper. The workshop will start at 9.30am and finish at 5pm approx each day. Anyone wishing for further details please contact Ann.

Maureen McNaughton 27-29 March 2010

On 27th, 28th & 29th March 2010 BADFA S&W Yorks Group will sponsor a Decorative Painting Seminar taught by Maureen McNaughton at Bolsterstone. We are honoured to have her come paint with us once again as she is a world renowned teacher.

We will be painting 3 designs over the 3 day workshop. Tuition fees will be £225 which will include coffee and biscuits in the morning, lunch and tea and cake in the afternoon. Surface to be determined.

This is open to S&W Yorks Club Members and All BADFA members.

This is one of the Botanicals we have chosen to paint on Maureen's workshop for one of the days, then 3 of her butterflies for another of the days and at present we are awaiting an image for another Botanical of an anemone to complete the 3 days painting.
